About the Photographer

Dream. Inspire. Live.  These three simple words are the basis for the goals I have set for myself and how I want to live my life. They are my motivation. They drive the decisions I make and the things that I do.

Dream. Everyone has dreams. I say dream big! One of my dreams is to be able to take photographs that people can look at and feel something – a stirring inside that makes you want to go out and experience the beauty for yourself. Or maybe its a photograph that brings back a wonderful memory. Or a photograph that makes you dream of being there or another similar place. Whatever your dream, remember, you’ll never know if you don’t try. One step at a time is all it takes!

Inspire. I find solace in nature. It soothes my soul.  My goal as a photographer is to share the beauty I see in the world and perhaps inspire you to get out there and experience it in your own way. Or if that’s not for you, just sit back in your favorite chair and experience it through my photographs.

Live. Open your heart and your eyes to the beautiful world around you. Go out and experience it!  Meet new people. Travel to new places. Take a risk. Live your life to the fullest every single moment. The only regret you’ll ever have is the risk you didn’t take.

A little about me and how I came to pursue this particular dream. Like most people, I always liked taking pictures of the people and places in my life.  Then my perspective changed quite a bit when I became a crime scene investigator. Over the course of 10 years, I took tens of thousands of photographs documenting crime scenes and evidence. As you can imagine, there wasn’t much beauty in that line of work.  Eventually, I left that career in search of a more meaningful and less stressful way of life.  I moved to the mountains of Colorado where I am surrounded by nature, wildlife, and a far more peaceful existence.  Having seen so much of the ugly side of life, I strive to see the world with a new set of eyes; looking for beauty where ever I go. With the Rocky Mountains in my back yard, its not very hard to find!

I hope you enjoy my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them for you!
